Seeing God: For Who He Really Is by Chad Hensley – eBook available now on Kindle and via Kindle Unlimited – Print Paperback and Hardcover available now!
This book is a reflection of a lifelong journey in faith. Everyone who pursues Christ experiences a journey of some sort and my life is no different. My personal journey has had its ups and downs and bends in the road, many of which have been brought about by my own choices. My ability to see God and His work in my life has varied with those route changes. When I was a new believer, one of the first verses I memorized was Phil. 3:10 in the Amplified version: ”For my determined purpose is that I may know Him that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly, and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection which it exerts over believers, and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed in spirit into His likeness even to His death, in the hope.”
This passage is a great description of the journey. As we make this our purpose in life, it provides the little course corrections that keep our life pointed towards Him. Life will continue to have setbacks and challenges, but a life centered on Him will find hope and find joy as we are “continually transformed in spirit into His likeness even to His death.” In this book, we will look at this journey of faith and cover both the many detours which turn us away from Him and the course corrections which will point us back in the way of Truth.
